An illustrated book on the flora of Denmark, begun in 1761 and finished in 1874. Search by Issue and Plate to view the over 3,200 detailed botanical illustrations included in this classic book.

This website includes a Catalogue of Botanical Art, of which some illustrations are in the public domain and can be downloaded from the web.

A wonderful directory to almost anything botanical. Search from the homepage or browse using the Alphabetical List. Mirror websites in the USA and Europe can be accessed from the homepage.
NRC Research Press
Links to Canadian online journals from the National Research Council of Canada, including the Canadian Journal of Botany, Canadian Journal of Forest Research, and Canadian Journal of Plant Science. Select a journal, then select the volume and article. Articles are available in abstracts or full text. Each species page includes a scanned image, with scale, and a brief description in French. Most of the featured species are also found in northern Ontario.

Click on the Plants link under Images in the left margin to access an alphabetical list of plant images from many literature sources, including botanical illustrations and textbook diagrams, as well as digital images. A very useful resource, available in English or German.
