Acknowledgements
The development of the Northern Ontario Plant Database would not have been possible without the cooperation of the several northern institutions and the many hours of data entry compiled by the staff and students at these institutions between 2002 and 2006. A few participants have since retired and some of the students have gone on to permanent jobs at GLFC or OMNR, others have continued their education with graduate degrees, careers in environmental management, nursing, or teaching. The NOPD would like to thank and acknowledge the contribution of each of the following institutions and dedicated individuals. The contact person/s who worked with the NOPD during its development are listed after the name of their institution, followed by their role or the acronym of their herbarium.

Staff and Students who contributed to the NOPD
At Great Lakes Forestry Centre (GLFC), the Northern Ontario Plant Database (NOPD) would not have been developed without the excellent work of Kevin Lawrence, who with dedicated Algoma Univ. students Chris Faulkner (2002) and Darren Schnare (2003-4), designed and constructed the entire database. The new face of the NOPD, launched in 2018, is thanks to the continued work of Kevin Lawrence and student Joseph Tassone. Special mention should also be give to Danny Sayers Jr. (2004-06), Batchawana First Nation, who compiled the Ojibwe common names for the NOPD and participated in numerous memorable field trips with Susan Meades exploring and documenting the Algoma District flora, along with GLFC and AU students, Jeff Fera, Jake St. Amour, Derek Goertz (a talented photographer who also contributed many excellent digital images for the descriptions), Meghan Krajchi, Dallas Linley, Aaron Mosher, Marty Pruce, and Ashleigh Sauvé.
Finally, acknowledgement and thanks is given to the many students who worked doing data entry of the herbarium collections. Their names are listed below, followed by their affiliation and the period during which they worked with the NOPD. Without the cooperation of everyone listed on this page, the NOPD would not have existed.
