Location: 3 km NE of Coniston, E of Coniston-Garson Rd. & N of Coniston Creek, Ontario.

Habitat: Beside birch on experimental plot limed and fertilized in 1977, on previously barren sand.
Notes: Not transplanted. Possibly the first record of Deschampsia flexuosa at this site. It often follows Betula papyrifera in the colonization sequence.
