Habitat: Willow thicket back beach, approx. 1 km from high tide level, bordering on a Juncus balticus var. littoralis dominated marsh seaward, and a Populus balsamifera relict beach ridge inland.
Notes: Originally identified as Atriplex patula subsp. patula.
